Biography - William Shaw

Mr. Shaw serves as CEO of companies in turnaround or stalled situations. He focuses these companies on developing and executing their business plans.

Mr. Shaw’s experience encompasses:

- Executive Management responsibilities in large, venture and small company environments.

- Extensive product development in telecommunications, and networking products and in placing these products into offshore manufacturing.

- Creating image and awareness in industry and with investment community.

- Excellent international relationships.

- Strong P & L focus.

Most recently, Mr. Shaw served as General Manager of Finisar Network Tools Division. This division developed troubleshooting tools for Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks. These products capture and analyze all traffic on both Ethernet and Fibre Channel networks.

Prior to Finisar, Mr. Shaw was President and CEO of Shomiti Systems. Shomiti Systems developed troubleshooting tools for Ethernet networks. Mr. Shaw rejuvenated the Shomiti team, released a series of new products and grew the revenue. With the capital investment at $20M, Mr. Shaw sold Shomiti Systems to Finisar for $120M.

Prior to Shomiti Systems, Mr. Shaw was Vice President and General Manager of 3Com’s Primary Access Division. This division specialized in Remote Access products.

Prior to 3Com, Mr. Shaw was Vice President and General Manager of Tekelec’s Network Diagnostic Division. This division designed and manufactured protocol analyzers for both WAN and LAN networks. Mr. Shaw restored both profitability and revenue growth to this division.

Mr. Shaw has over 30 years experience in the high tech arena with 20 of those years spent at HP.

Mr. Shaw earned a M.S. (1972) and a B. S. (1970) in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University and graduated as Valedictorian of the School of Engineering.
