Biography - Dave Bellandi
Dave's long technical career at Hewlett-Packard spanned a broad cross-section of marketing including field marketing, product marketing, market development, new business development, multi-divisional marketing, and all aspects of outbound and corporate marketing. In addition, this experience gave him exposure to what a strong process framework looks like; what a structured way to manage product development, product launch, and ongoing product marketing looks like; and what is involved in running a large worldwide marketing organization. This experience translates into the ability to help growing companies transition from startups with no structure or process into companies that can efficiently scale their marketing resources as their sales grow. As the VP of Corporate Marketing for MAYAN Networks, Dave expanded his experience to include starting a marketing organization from the ground up for an emerging startup in the optical networking space. Focusing closely on defining marketing strategy, corporate and product positioning, Dave translated these into sizzling marketing collateral, events, and PR activities and was able to put MAYAN Networks on the scoreboard as one of the key emerging players in the '99 and '00 optical networking market. This experience has strongly positioned Dave to help startups clarify their strategy, positioning, and messaging and capture press, analysts, and customer mind share in very competitive markets. Lastly, Dave's role as the Chief Marketing Executive and VP of Worldwide Marketing at FrontRange Solutions exposed Dave to advanced methods of using CRM software and processes to automate many aspects of the sales and marketing activities. Examples include complex lead generation modeling to optimize marketing mix, improving the quantity of qualified leads by using campaign management and lead incubation methods, and finally, improving the sales of an indirect channel with lead distribution and disposition software. This experience puts Dave in a position to help companies streamline their sales and marketing processes and automate them slowly over time to improve efficiency and ROI on their marketing spend.
