Biography - Bob Farkaly

Bob Farkaly has over 25 years experience IT and Storage marketing, sales management and business development. Bob has pioneered leading edge market development in Storage Area Networks with Fibre Channel, iSCSI and Infiniband. He has developed partnering relationships and has envisioned, defined and created marketable products from leading edge technology. Bob also has strong knowledge and experience in product management on a global basis.

Bob was recently Vice President of Marketing at Stonefly Networks and was responsible for changing the company and market strategy from "Telco SSP switching" to affordable, IP/iSCSI SAN for the masses. He defined an iSCSI SAN architecture comprised of scalable storage virtualization routers, network managers and iSCSI to parallel SCSI and Fibre Channel bridges. This included an all-in-one packaging that supplies IP SAN at disruptive price points. Bob was responsible for strategy, market definition, positioning, pricing, product management; product marketing; marcom, web strategy (stonefly.com and iscsi.com), trade shows, product user interface usability and the beta program. He also brought PR and creative activities in house, greatly improving cost effectiveness with improved results
