Biography - Daniel J Gatti
Currently, Mr. Gatti serves as Managing Director of Innovative Capital Ventures and has served as interim CEO of several technology companies, including Achieva Networks providing secure storage services based on multi-protocol NAS and IP SAN appliances. Mr. Gatti also served as acting President and CEO of BigBangwidth. Mr. Gatti has transformed a nano-technology silicon chip company into an enterprise system solution company. Prior to BigBangwidth, Mr. Gatti was President and CEO of MAYAN and developed the UNIFIER -- a next generation, fiber-optic solution that is compatible with today's Internet infrastructure. The UNIFIER provides Multi-Service Optical Access Solutions aimed at unifying edge access and transport networks in metropolitan areas. At MAYAN Networks, Mr. Gatti raised $90 million dollars in equity from top tier venture capital investors. Prior to MAYAN Networks, Mr. Gatti was the Vice President and General Manager of 3Com's Network Service Provider Division, responsible for Internetworking products and solutions for the worldwide telecommunications industry. 3Com acquired Primary Access, where Mr. Gatti was Vice President of Worldwide Sales; a successful venture company in Remote Access products. He has over 30 years experience in the information processing and telecommunications industry including sales management, product management, strategic planning, and international distribution. Mr. Gatti also was President of Aptec Computer Systems, a venture backed company providing multimedia video servers for the cable and telecommunication service providers. At Amdahl as Vice President of Marketing was responsible for commercial systems integration. At GTE, he was Vice President responsible for Product Management and Marketing for Fiber Optic Transmission systems. He also held sales and marketing management positions at IBM's Data Processing business for 16 years. Mr. Gatti serves as an executive advisor for ArrowPath Venture Capital an E*Trade Group venture fund. Is on the Board of Directors of the TIA(Telecommunications Industry Association), Board of Governors of the EIA(Electronics Industry Association), a member of the Executive Council of IEC(International Engineering Consortium) and advisor to the Internet Security Alliance. Mr. Gatti is also on the Board of Directors of the Alberta California Venture Channel. Mr. Gatti is an executive
fellow involved in Santa Clara University's CIE entrepreneurship program.
In addition, he is an advisor to the International Engineering Consortium
and member of the Alliance of Chief Executives in Northern California.
Mr. Gatti is an active speaker at industry events Mr. Gatti
has a BA from Fairfield University and completed the executive MBA program
at the Harvard Advanced Business School. |
